These logo's are effective because it is simple, clean, and consistent which give you a sense of always being able to pin-point what company these logo's belong to and which software you want to use by name and color.  

Chick-Fil-A 

This logo gives off a warm and welcoming feeling with the bubble letters and red color which is also associated with restaurants and makes people develop an appetite. It's also creative how they incorporated a chicken with the letter 'C' to represent what their company sells.

Google

Shows a variety of colors which I relate with learning, school, and exploring. This logo is very simple and the letter font makes it easier to read and having that simplicity more people will connect with what Google represents.
